As I sit down for a rest between cooking and cleaning I think about what I’m thankful for. Yes, today is Thanksgiving and we are all thankful everyday for something. But what/who could you not live without?

I definitely could not live without my family. I love my son and would be devastated if he didn’t irk my nerves daily. I love my mother and couldn’t be able to stand if she wasn’t always trying to be my protector. My brother… C$B we all we got” so what if he owes me tons of money, i’ll never be broke. I need my aunts and uncles to make me laugh and be examples of good solid marriages. My dad is needed so i can always call to share my relationship drama with ;). Cuzzos… Theres none like us and I need them to continue to create new blood. Then there are those sistas and bros that aren’t blood. They were tagged as siblings for a reason.

I talked to a friend of mine and he told me that ALL of his immediate family are mad with one another. I told him that today would be a great day to resolve that. Regardless of what happens, family can never be written out of your life. I’m reminded when growing up, my family had issues but momma told us to keep our issues in the house. Every Holiday we ate together regardless. As we got older and momma is now gone from us, we still get together on holidays and try to keep our issues with one another amongst us.

When one of is are hurting, we are all hurting. Our blood runs deep and it bleeds CUMMINGS-ISAAC all day.
